Children’s Summer Reading
Join us every Tuesday this summer for Adair County Public Library’s Children’s Summer Reading Program — Unearth a Story! We’ll dig into the world of dinosaurs through stories, science, and hands-on crafts. Free and open to all children. No registration required after opening day.
Session Schedule June 2 — Kickoff & Registration | Adopt a reading buddy and kick off a dino-sized summer!
June 9 — Feathers, Scales & Skin | What did dinosaurs really look like?
June 16 — Herbivores vs. Carnivores | Plus our famous Jurassic Poop Craft!
June 23 — Paleontology | Make your own fossil cast to take home June 30 — Dinosaurs in America | Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday
July 7 — Dinosaur Habitat | Build and erupt your own volcano
July 14 — Dino Dance Party | Grand finale with music, movement & celebration!
